ok so 3 months ago i went to get a body wave but i guess the girl did a full perm which she shouldn't have done because my hair is bleached blond.Anyways now my hair looks awful it iscurly and frizzy in some places and staight and damaged in some other places. I have like 3 inches of natural roots that have grown out and i am wondering should i just cut my hair of there and start over?

Please dont keep that bleached out, over permed, dry, damaged hair on your head. It would take a lot of effort and a lot of conditioning on a daily/weekly basis to make it look and feel semi-good. And how long do you want to hang on to bad hair? You should try to look your best as often as you can.

I dont agree with the rest of the posters on getting layers, that would only cut off -some- of the damaged hair. So your hair would look about 3/4 good...

Get your make-over on girl! Cut it short and choppy all over, use a little hair product for a bed-head effect and you are done. You could really save time on getting ready in the AM too...!!!

Its hair anyway, it'll grow back, right?! Have fun!

that used to be my hair on a regular basis, lol. i have curly hair and in middle school i got terribly blonde highlights. i don't think you should cut it (because in 10th grade i did it without thinking and i HATED it), but getting layers is a good idea. you might want to try one of those anti-damage shampoos, too. tresemme has done wonders for my hair. also, ask your hairdresser for any suggestions.

Cutting your hair seems a bit drastic. You could try to go back and see if they could do a deep moisterizing treatment to try to repair some of the damage and get a few inches (not everything) cut off to make it healthier. YOu could also try blow drying it everyday to make it seem straighter to make your hair more consistant.

You might need a hair repair kit.
