It depends on your yellow and black too. You can get a decent range of greens from a pale, cool, yellow like lemon yellow or cadmium yellow light and ivory black.

Yellow and a small amount of black (just a dot) will make a dark olive green. You can get different tones of grey from the black and white, and a horrid mud colour from mixing all three.

Done properly, with the right subject, you'd get an interesting 'limited palette' painting this combination of colours.

You can only make gray or light yellow with these colors. You may be able to make a yellowish gray with them but, black and yellow do not mix well.

From this three colors you can make a mustard color! If you'll mix more black in it you'll get a brown! black and white -gray There are lots of possibilities, but you'd better try it yourself on something by mixing the colors until you'll find the wright one!

Black and yellow would make an ugly brownish color, white and yellow would make lighter yellow. Black and white makes grey.

In addition to the possible mustard color you may mix, you have to take in consideration the background color and if you are using acrylics or oils or water colors. There are too many variants to give you a definite answer.

why don't you mix them and find out? when you do though be aware of the black you use because 'blacks' have different foundations which can be a blue, green or purple.....some will even turn a reddish color when diluted to a wash.
