My girlfriend fell into the trap of "falling" for the "bad boys" thinking she could change them (which is of course almost impossible) and was hurt and taken advantage of as a result. How can I help her realize that I'm not those guys? I truly love her for who she is and have no ulterior motives at all. I love her in spite of and because of all that she is. I'm not going to let this come between us. I just don't want to have to live down what those ba**er*s did to her.

Once you have been taken advantage of or cheated on by a guy, it's difficult to ever forget about it, even if your boyfriend is an angel. Trust us girls, we know what we're talking about.

It takes time to prove to a girl that you will never do anything to hurt her. Show her unconditional love and respect. Bring her flowers. Chocolate. Valentine's Day coming up, do something special. Showing signs of overall maturity and comitment will make her even more sure that you would never do what those guys did. Be who you are, most of all, because the person you are is the person she fell in love with.

Has it occurred to you that you will be trying to do for her exactly what she tried to do for the "bad boys"?

In spite of how much you love her, do you think you will be more successful? Why?

She has baggage and only she can let go of it.

Finally finding Mr. Right for her will not be easy, it seems she may have low self esteem, and she always trying to please in order for her to be loved, and trust issues... so with lots of respect, love and understanding from you it will take time, but by you being you she will eventually see what a great relationship she has...

Awww, you sound sooo sweet. Just prove to her you are not those guys. Always be there for her. Respect her and give her attention. I am sure you know how to treat your girlfriend right.
