Just remember that plenty of metal bathroom fixtures will appear to be "cold" and the visual effect will be that of Roman aqueducts and too masculine.
I think that metallic accessories belong to the study and not the bathroom since they could get tarnished and appear shabby after a while from moisture or droplets of water.
If I will use a bathroom with lots of metallic things in it, I would probably start shivering already as I come in. "Its cccooooolld in here."

For me, it does.. the solid brass bathroom accessory has a different presence and is rich, only not-so-rich people use zinc die cast chrome plated bath access, to match up with us.

I prefer the solid brass but I'm not above to not use the other if that makes sense.
