I was told that by taking laxatives my body would just get rid of stuff without absorbing it. I tried it for some time and it did make me feel a lot better, i lost some weight but then i realized it was just water loss.. so does it really work?

Taking laxatives to lose weight is an unwise idea, not to mention dangerous. It will dehydrate your body, so that any weightloss would be mostly water. Laxatives will not stop the absorption of calories either. Try a sensible and safe diet of approximately 1200-1500 calories per day along with exercise.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

no, it will not help you lose "real weight"
Laxatives just rid your body of what is in your system fast. It is very unhealthy and can lead to laxative abuse, which is VERY bad for you and can even kill you. It throws your electrolytes out of balance. DO NOT use laxatives to try to lose weight. they dont work and it is VERY dangerous.

well, i wouldnt advise using them because you'll dehydrate yourself, and also if you take them too much your body will become dependent on them and you will not be able to have a regular bowel movement without the aid of the laxatives, trust me, the cons definatly outweigh the pros.

No No No definately not and you are only messing up your bowels and may cause other health problems down the road.
Your body starts depending on them and then you cannot function naturally. Be smart love yourself the way you are.

Yes it can, my friend lost 170 pounds that way in less then one year, but i would not take it longer since your body might get used to it. My friend is really nice now, she lost so much and i love her to death for that. Power girl, and determenation.
