Im in 8th grade and I have a moving up dance in the spring. Im not sure if it looked wierd If I go with my friiends. OR does the boy ask the girl to these kinds of things. Or does the girl ask the boys???

Traditionally, the boy asks the girl to a dance. Now, that does not mean you cannot ask the boy if they are busy and want to go to that dance. In 8th grade, perhaps the best bet though is to just hang out with a group of friends, and dont worry quite so much about the boy scene....lol... they will come to you.

The cliche is for a guy to ask a girl. Unfortunately, most of the guys in my school are chickens so last year, me and two of my friends worked up the courage to ask the guys to the moving up dance.
We're having our Valentine's Day dance soon, and although I think it would be cute for girls to go with guys as friends--no one knows whether we should be bold and crazy enough to ask the guys or wait. Honestly, I'm ready for waiting right now (The dance is Friday.) although there are surges of craziness. Eventually, I think I'll go out there and party my life out and maybe end up dancing with a guy.
Go with your gut, in these cases, and remember how much the body language counts!

Traditionally, the boy asks the girl, except if it is a "Sadie Hawkins Dance", where girls ask boys.

well usually the guy is supposed to ask to dance. but now a days it does'nt even ****** matter. so get crunk wit the guy and have fun.lol

If you like a certain boy ask him. I don't think its improper for girls to ask boys out.

normally i like to go to dances with my friends.they are so much more fun that way.sometimes the guys will come up and start dancing on/with us and sometimes ill go up to a guy and start dancing with him...its not like you have to ask someone to the dance..its so much more fun not to have to commit to someone unless youre dating..

to go with with a guy or not to go with a guy....that is the old age question. for you i have a question....what year is it? its 2007 and not 1807! it doesn't matter who asks who. grab a guy and say "hey, i'm going to this dance.....i'm hoping you are too....that way we can go together!"
