I heat my marshmallow over my stove but I have gas or heat them in your microwave of course they taste better if they are heated over an open fire outside but that is kind of hard unless you have a grill than put the other cracker on top and your in heaven!

I always made s'mores growing up when camping or around a bonfire. We would melt the marshmallows on long wires (like a bent metal coat hanger) by sticking them near the coals at the bottom of the fire and, of course, watch that you don't burn them! Then take two half graham crackers and place a piece of a Hershey chocolate bar on one and then press your melted marshmallow on top the chocolate and then top with other graham cracker.

I've also heard of warming the marshmallow and chocolate (separately) in the microwave just until marshmallow is soft and chocolate is soft not melting and then press between your graham crackers. Either way...sounds like you're going to soon have a yummy treat! =)

The ways described are the traditional way to do it, but my aunt has a different method. When I go to her house, we spread peanut butter on the graham cracker, then sprinkle with chocolate chips, then roast the marshmallow over the fire, put it on the chocolate and top with the second graham wafer. The peanut butter adds a great flavour and serves to help the sandwich stick together. mmmmm makes me long for summer.

Well, you have enough recipes for traditional, but go to foodnetwork.com and look up their's. They have a smores pie which includes a grahm cracker crusst, a chocolate brownie filling, and a mini marsh. topping that is browned useing your broiler. It looks so good.

You can't beat the original though made over a campfire!
