King Solomon. When God appeared in his dream.Solomon asked for wisdom,a discerning heart to govern his people and to distinguish from right and wrong.God granted his request and even so He still gave him riches and honor so that in his lifetime he has no equal among kings.Because of his wisdom and very great insight and a breath of understanding as measureless as the sand in the seashore men of all nations came to listen to him and brought many expensive gifts, gold, robes, weapons, spices, horses and mules. He was greater in riches and wisdom than the other kings of the earth.
He was the one who build the Temple of God.
If you are asking the young rich man who came to Jesus and ask how to have eternal life,it did not mention his name.Jesus asked him to sell all his possessions and give to the poor he went away sad bec. he had great wealth. This means that this man love his money more than anybodyelse.Jesus commanded us to love our neighbours.

One of the wealthiest men was Job. God allowed the Devil to take everything from Job, but Job never spoke against God during this trial in which his children all died, he lost all his possessions, and was struck down with a disease which covered his body with terrible boils. After this test of Job's faith, the Devil was embarrased, and God gave back to Job twice as much of everything - Possessions, livestock and as many new children were born to his wife as were killed (thus in heaven he has twice as many children as he first did.)
Another very wealthy man was King Solomon. God blessed him with great prosperity because Solomon didn't ask for prosperity, but wisdom (which is a greater form of riches). Unfortunately in his latter years, Solomon listened to his foreign wives and built altars to false gods - He gave up his wisdom I guess, because God would not take it away.

He was simply a rich man who wasn't named. However, he makes a great teaching tool...one that, somehow, televangelists seem to overlook in their pursuit of the almighty dollar.
