Most people are too wrapped up in their own sex lives to worry much about yours. Only morons would mock you and morons will mock about darn near anything, from your weight to what kind of shoe you wear.
But your question indicates that someone you know perhaps feels uncomfortable with the state of virginity past a certain age. For many people - many many more that admit it these days - the opportunity has simply never arisen. We no longer have arranged marriages, and its actually not that easy to find a mate by oneself. This can leave them feeling left out out of an experience which though many call "overrated" nevertheless takes up a great deal of time and energy and clearly, human beings enjoy very much.
Sexuality, like spirituality, is an integral part of who we are as human beings. You don't have to be with someone else to enjoy or develop it. In fact, if sexually active people are honest, a substantial amount of emotional pain and conflict arises from many of the sexual decisions they make. A lover will not understand your body or your sexuality as much as you, unless he/she has been with you a long time. A virgin can have a perfectly healthy sexuality. Given the amount of narcissistic sex-and-the-city style baloney out there, mock that at your peril.

You have my total respect..
I tried my very best to keep my virginity for a long time..
It was very very important to me, i have a self respect..
but these days it seems that no one cares.
New age has come.
I've met a guy the other day, hes turning 40, and said to
me, he's still a virgin,, he made me laughed.. He lied
and said he never had a gf. Then as we go on talking
he admitted that he had gf for 6 yrs,, but never had sex,,
BIG FAT LIAR. who cares huh,

i'm 19 and im a complete party girl, i wear revealing clothes, get with so many people........yet am still a virgin and no one can believe it!!! they are literally gobsmacked when they find out!!! it's just i've done so much 'out there' stuff when it comes down to finding true love i wanna actually have a way of proving it to that person! im such a romantic. the only thing i get embarrassed about is the fact that people KEEP BRINGIN IT UP!!!!!! im worried it will make me look like i think im all high and mighty or something! but i don't even judge girls who have slept with say 50 men, that's their lifestyle choice, and this is mine. there is no reason to feel embarrassed!!!!!!!! but apart from that i don't feel embarrassed at all............it's your body, your life, and it will be your business when you do find that perosn you wanna share yourself with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the first place why you bothered with it. You're doing great. Someday when you find the right man of your own then you will discover how great it is to have your virginity intact. It would earn love & respect to your partner. If you wantt to be a single old lady then nothing to be worry about. Just don't think about it. ok

people should respect that you are still a virgin, too many teens are loosing their vriginity younger, where is there self respect, when the time is wright you will know and no one can make any difference to how you fell, just because you aint lost your virginity does not mean you cannot express youre self in other ways

I don't know..............guys usually get teased if they are virgins and women are seen as "too nice" sometimes. That movie 40 Year Old Virgin really ticked me off. I think that every one has the choice to be a virgin or not....we all have the freedom to make that choice. I personally want to wait till I get married but when I say that, sometimes people tease me. I just don't want to sleep with some guy and him forget about me...........that would hurt so bad.....................I am sometimes embarassed but sometimes I am proud to be who I am....it really depends.

If I were still a virgin at 20, I wouldn't be very happy. (I'm 17 now.) Some people, such as the Women's Club at the university I'm attending next year, would be cool with it, but my other friends would probably pity me.

ill admit im a virgin.. and nearly 23. and do i care what anyone thinks? no. everyone who i spoken to openly about their sexual lives they never laughed at me being a virgin, but they do the opposite of laughing, and i'll lose it with the one person who i know i'm going to spend my life with. i still have it because i chose to keep it, i have had many chances to lose it, but i didnt see the point, its one thing that i know if i lose it i'll never get back.
if however i still am a virgin til 30, then i may concider losing it, but not to any random person.
