My bf and I have been staying together at a home owned by my family and myself. Yesterday, my mom was approached by the "neighborhood association". They said that the while im at work their is suspicious activity going on, and now they want to put the house under surveillance. My mother ofcourse is livid, and wants me to leave, and I obliged her. The problem is that my bf won't leave as easily, b/c he really has no other place to go. I just want him out of the house, but he says that I'm leaving him in the wind, and clinging to my parents. I have been supporting us mainly, and I know that on my own I could handle an apartment etc, but with him I know we would sink. What should i say to him to get him out, without having to go through a long legal process?I thought me telling him that he made the house "hot" would be enough, but that led to an argument. My mother just wants to go over and be like GET OUT!!! By the way, it was rent/mortgage free.

This house is separate from my parents house. It is in another location, and my name is on it as well as my mom.

Why are you still with him? Your words "but with him I know we would sink." You want to be struggling the rest of your life? Tell him it's over, you are no longer dating/together, and he needs to find some friends who will put him up for a while because the neighborhood association said they are taking legal action to kick the two of you out. Tell him it's apparently against the rules to sublet or rent and your parents are about to be sued by the association.

You don't have to go through a long legal battle. The house is owned by your family not him. If he does not have a lease for the house with HIS name on it, then he would be considered a squatter. Tell your boyfriend to get out or you'll be forced to call the police to have him physically removed. Call the police in the city/county where the house is and explain that your boyfriend won't leave and the house is not in his name (rental or otherwise) and you need their assistance to get them out. If the property is owned by your parents, they may need to be the ones to call the police. You need to tell your boyfriend it's over and you don't want to see him anymore. He is disrespectful and dishonest. You know it, now do something about it. When you go over to tell him he must move out now or you'll be forced to call the police, if he gets upset and starts to yell, just leave and call the police. They'll handle it. Be strong and assertive. Show your parents you're a responsible person. Good Luck!

Since he is no where on the house and has been asked to leave he is trespassing at this time. Ask him to leave again, and tell him if he doesn't you will have him arrested for trespassing. This might end the relationship, but from what you are saying he doesn't sound like a good person to be with anyways.

You should tell his *** just how it is and stop supporting him. I hate that if it means him living in the street then so be it... You can find someone better then that...You are way to smart for him, let it go!

Tell your mother to go ahead and do it, he has no rights to the house. He'd be a fool to argue with your mother.
