Last weekend I was with some friends and their daughter had strep throat. It's been a full week since I've seen her- is there still a chance I can catch it?

Still a chance but incubation period is winding down. I bet you're safe now. If you want to get a jump start on any germs that might be trying to plant themselves in your throat, gargle three times a day with peroxide. Don't swallow. It's safe, read the label. It is recommended. Good luck!!

after a week,,,,,, i would think you would be showing some symtoms,,,, if you feel fine, then most likely you wont catch it,,,,,,, if you start feeling bad, really tired etc, you might want a check up, while most get the extreme sore throat and fever,,, not all do,,,,,,,, also, depending on you age,,,,,, you might be less likely to catch it,,,,,, we do build up some immunities as we age,,,,,,, finally, if the daughter had already been ill, been to the dr, and was being treated,,,,,, she may of passed the contagious point,,,

Strep throat is contagious but you would've had the symptoms within two days. I think you're fine.

if she was on vaccine when you saw her its pretty unlikely. If not then there is a chance you could get it
