Trust me, you will DEFINITELY know. But I think you already know, right? Deep down inside you know it's over because of your question. You would not have had to ask that kind of question if the relationship were going great. You (probably) would not have thought such a thing.

It depends on the situations.
In general, when/if you feel the things are not the same anymore; like if your partner seems distant or is unwilling to work things out together with you, then you know it's going to be over, sooner or later.

often the times the dumpee is last to know there was a problem. but I have found that when everything he does annoys the hell out of me .. its over.. there are signs that you are getting tired of the relationship. be honest with yourself and look inside and you will know... but you wont always know if he is tiring if you...

you will have a kind of feeling..it's like he doesn't treat you as well as before and both of you had nothing much to talk about and you feel that you're only like a friend to him. listen to your heart. women have sixth sense which is usually very accurate.

when all you do is fight and each side has lost respect for one another. that's with adults.
with kids...who knows. whatever flavor of the week comes along who is better would be my answer.

when only one person wants to put any effort in it. when their priorities aren't u anymore. when they put u down, criticize u, find fault with u, and hurt u when they didn't have to. also if there is someone else in your marriage, and your spouse wants to be with them and not u.
