because it's a crush...it completely kicks everything out of his mind and he can only think of that girl...luckily crushes don't last long, if the guy is sensible enough to think about his real girlfriend...sometimes a crush can turn into "oh my god i'm in love with...."
give your boyfriend a slap and tell him how you feel about that (if this is happening to you)

I think it works both ways. But in answer to your question, it depends on the guy. If he can easily forget the one he loves, then he probably never really loved the person. It was probably a temporary thing until the next one comes.
In some situations, guys may love a woman, even if they are seeing another. His actions may come across like he doesn't love the original, when in fact the love is still there, just occupied.
