That is a lie. You can get different versions of the Koran in American too. If you look at the Hebrew bible it reads the same regardless. But if you look at the American, there are differences because people don't always agree on how words are translated into english.

The same is the case with the Koran, I have read at least three versions of the Koran where the same scriptures don't use the same words in them. You should research a topic more to avoid looking foolish, rather than saying what people say about it.

Because only the Arabic versions are the same regardless and the Hebrew and Septuagint are the same regardless as well. So you have made no point at all. Grab a couple of English versions of the Koran by different translators and you will find it differing in some scritpures.

hi,
you seem very confused about the question of the bible so i will try to explain a bit. In fact, there is only ONE Bible. The Bible is composed in two parts : The Old Testament, the long and often sad story of the relationship with God and His elected people, the Hebrews. Then the other part : the New Testament, story of God made man, Jesus Christ. There are different "bibles" as you say. The difference, usually, resides in the translation from the original script. Maybe some versions are more "protestants" orientated, or more "Mormons" orientated. The One and Only very trust full version of the entire bible is "La Vulgate". It is a Bible written in LATIN in the IV century by Saint Jerome, doctor of the The Church. He based his work on the original scripts, some of them had disappeared. I don't know where you from but if you look well, you certainly find a proper English version of "La Vulgate"
God Bless.

And PS : Some said the Bible was written by men. Fair enough. But they forgot than theses prophets, kings, apostles and witness were all inspired by the Holy Spirit, so to speak, God! So the Bible is written by God.

I don't think it's quite accurate to say that every version of the Bible deletes the other and says that it is wrong. The reason there are so many different Bibles is because there are lots of translations from the original languages of the Bible. As these languages are no longer used, this leads to usually minor differences between translations of texts.
The bigger disagreements happen when people disagree how we should personally interpret the Bible. Should every verse be taken literally, or is the whole text allegorical? Most people believe that the answer lies between these two extremes - but to what degree? And how should we apply the teaching of the Bible to our lives? This is what causes the disagreements. These disagreements can and do occur when both parties are using exactly the same Bible translation.
I imagine that it is the same issue which causes disharmony between groups of Muslims - how should they apply the Koran to their lives? What did the Prophet *really* mean when he said...
I don't know why there is only one translation of the Koran, and I'd be interested to read other people's perspectives on this.

their are basically three bibles. the eastern version, and the roman catholic are almost identical, but the protestant denies the divine inspiration of a number of new and old testament books, and classifies them as apocryphal. the overall bible is mainly from greek, and latin translations from an agreed textual translation in the late 4th century. the various church bishops came together at the request of constantine to compile those books that were to be accepted, and rejected for inclusion into the canon, that is the agreed texts that are in the bible. various translations have been made and are based on what was agreed to be the meaning of the original words used and continues today in the mainly protestant versions used by the various theolological schools. for example, the amplified versus the king james, versus the jerusalem, versus the vulgate, versus the living., etc. the words used are different, but the meaning is supposed to be intact. since the bible was written by many individuals, and then translated under different people, and re-translated by even more people, the true bible doesn't exist, except in the imagination.
other "religious works" such as the koran, the book of mormon, the vedas, the tao, the bagavadgita, have a similar problem. the number of translations limits the true accuracy of the original writers, and thus, the original book(s) used to compile the latest translation.
as for whether it was written by god- hogwash. god didn't write anything. men wrote what they thought, and what they wanted people to accept, and for their own puposes, not god's. the whole, and only, purpose for any religious work is the give men a means to control other men who are unable to control themselves. they perpetuate this control through the same mechanism that first was used by those able to hold control of all others. they used god(s) as a reason, not because it was true.

There is only ONE Christian Bible. There are many TRANSLATIONS of this Bible, but all translate the same Word of God.

Because the original scriptures were in Hebrew (Old Testament) & Greek (New Testament), there are many ways that man can translate them, since language is a living thing that is constantly changing.

The King James Bible was translated from the most reliable ancient manuscripts, but is translated into 17th Century English. There are words in the Old English which have changed over the years. For example, the word, "letteth" used to mean to hinder, but now means the opposite, "to allow", which is a 180 degree change of meaning. This is in the following verse:

“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:
only he who NOW LETTETH will let, until he be taken OUT OF THE WAY.” - The 2nd letter to the Thessalonians, Chapter 2, Verse 7 (II Thess.2:7)

To find the essence of God's Word, you can read a verse from 2 or more translations, and like the facets of a jewel, they will converge on the central meaning. Some verses are hard to understand, but there are others that are basically the same in meaning in every translation.

God told us to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what each scripture means to ourselves - as all people are different, so the message will have a slightly different meaning that applies to each person.

But the fundamental truth that Christ died on the cross to pay the price for our sins is the same in all translations. Also the truth that we must repent of our sins, believe that Jesus is THE Son of God (i.e., God Himself) and ask him to dwell within us to have communion with our spirit. When we do this, we become a child of God, and our dead spirit is regenerated with eternal life, which means we will dwell with Him for all eternity.

I hope this answers at least part of your question. I pray that Jesus will reveal Himself to you very soon. God bless you.

All bibles come from the same source; Men. Whether divinely inspired, or the regimes of controlling men seeking to dominate others, is a subject for some debate, but the heart of it is this, they all come from the hand of men, and thus are subject to the fallibility of human kind. Also whether or not they were divinely inspired, kings and men in power from the beginning have changed passages and meanings to reflect current policy. Example; after the malifecus maleficarum (the witches hammer) king James changed several passages of the bible. Most famously "Suffer not a witch to live" which few know originally read "Suffer not a prisoner to die"
In conclusion, all of the tomes people cling to have good ideas, but they're all really just books. Follow your heart and live morally.

Since the beginning of writing, EVERY text has been written BY MEN. Including the Bible and the Quran. End of the story. About whom you should follow? YOUR OWN INTELLECT, possibly.

Prince Siddharta once upon a time said:

'Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and
rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because
it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in
anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed
down for many generations. But after observation and analysis,
when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conductive to the good and the benefit of one and all, the accept it and live up to it.'

That's the ONLY path each of us should follow.

God asks all people to verify His Bible. examine it your self and you will see what i'm conversing approximately. examine the Koran after that and evaluate. you will see a startling distinction. One has a consistant message and the different is in each single place with differing messages.

“Know thou assuredly that the essence of all the Prophets of God is one and the same. Their unity is absolute. God, the Creator, saith: There is no distinction whatsoever among the Bearers of My Message. They all have but one purpose; their secret is the same secret. To prefer one in honor to another, to exalt certain ones above the rest, is in no wise to be permitted. Every true Prophet hath regarded His Message as fundamentally the same as the Revelation of every other Prophet gone before Him. …
The measure of the revelation of the Prophets of God in this world, however, must differ. Each and every one of them hath been the Bearer of a distinct Message, and hath been commissioned to reveal Himself through specific acts. It is for this reason that they appear to vary in their greatness. …
… God’s purpose in sending His Prophets unto men is twofold. The first is to liberate the children of men from the darkness of ignorance, and guide them to the light of true understanding. The second is to ensure the peace and tranquility of mankind, and provide all the means by which they can be established. …”
