According to the Bible, it is Solomon. The Bible said that no one was like him and no one would ever be like him. Now you may argue that Jesus being the Son of God was the wisest, and that I am sure would be right, however, Jesus was not just a man, He was also God so he would not fit the question completely.

That is the easiest question I've ever heard. Jesus is, not was as one put it, the wisest man in the history of the universe.

I don't know. Who's the wisest man in the Harry Potter series of books?

Oh and it has to be a man does it?

King Solomon, B.C.
But in the total bible...how could that be any one except Jesus?...except maybe John the Baptizer, because he was totally human and recognized Jesus as the Messiah and unique Son of God.

I would probably say that James, the brother of Jesus, is probably the wisest person. Jesus himself couldn't have been too wise, considering he deliberately threw a hissy fit in the temple and got himself crucified for it.
