My boyfriend has had severe psoriasis for over 20 years. He has various creams and tar bath stuff which I guess keep the worst of it down. However, I would really like to try and help him get rid of it once and for all. I know it's deemed an auto-immune problem so there isn't a "cure" as such. I'm wondering if anyone has found any dietary/alternative therapies that work? He already takes omega oils to try and keep his skin supple, and we add flax oil to all our meals.

I should have added that it really needs to cost as little as possible. The tanning beds wouldn't really be viable. We can manage the costs of a few supplements maybe and certainly different foodstuffs.

I've had it my whole life ... the only thing that helps it, that is inexpensive (I don't like using medications now, but this has helped me in the past, prior to me doing an expensive colon cleanse & detox) is getting a topical medication called Dermatovate. Look it up in a search on the internet. It has several other names, but they're the same. Glaxo makes it. You can buy it over the internet. It's the only medicine that ever worked on me. You can't get it w/o a prescription other than over the internet. Hope it helps!

Hello, Tanning beds work wonders. You would not belive it. I know how many creams and oils and junk out there for this stuff but in my opinion the tanning beds work wonders...something about the UV rays. Also try going to www.womenshelp.net On the home page they ave a link for people with psoriasis....I think it's called psorasis connect or something...anyway when you sign up there for free they will send you all this info on it as well as let you know all the newest medicines, etc. Check it out and good luck. I know it sounds way too simple but the tanning beds are awesome.

Well, homeopathy will be a good choice for him and if that is not feasible, try Rescue Remedy Cream (with Crab Apple added). It is a Bach Flower Combination and helps. Available in many health food stores or online.

If you need more help, write separately. All advice free. Nothing to sell.
