and they are wrong. Has anyone EVER seen a uhaul trailer towed behind a hearse? A poor person who has been born again is FAR richer than the richest person on earth that doesn't have Christ in his/her heart. For that poor person will live forever while the rich person that dies w/o Christ will be in hell forever and all their riches couldn't save them. (Tom Cruise, take notes)

Ironic - mankind strives to attain 'things' and in the end finds that they are empty and meaningless. Take a diamond - a piece of charcoal that has been pressurized over time. Sure it sparkles and it's pretty. But when you think about the time, effort and money people spend seeking after a sparkly rock, it seems rather foolish.
I have a friend, who even at 57 years old, still has not learned this lesson. She has a huge house (in California no less - you can imagine how much it cost), drives a BMW, has diamonds and clothing galore. She's not happy. She seeks after the things of this world to satisfy and has not yet discovered that they are empty. Very sad.

A person gains the world if he wins it, but loses it at death. In the resurrection he won't get it back because it will be destroyed and replaced by the New Earth. Blessed are the meek, They will inherit the earth. When the New Jerusalem descends from heaven, the lost will think they can take conquer it, but will be judged and consumed by fire, only to be left as dust and never resurrected again to live (ceasing to exist).

We all lose our life eventually.....
And I have yet to see an inverse correlation between religious belief and materialism (in the purchasing of goods sense), the US is one of the most religious AND the most materialistic societies on earth.

Life is dear to all.today if you have money,a hot sports car,one excellent house, but no life in yourself then all other is absolutely waste.a person gets all of them but loses his life for all of them then whats the use? a lifeless person cannot even enjoy those wonderfull things if he simply lost his life for those unvaluable materialistic stuff. So i personally suggest you to stop wasting your" life "to win the whole world, and simply enjoy these passing moments of your life.........

Everyone eventually loses their life. Gaining material wealth, power or possesions is not relevant. Perhaps one's behavior is.
