the united states navy/marine corps. i can't choose just one... the jarheads may be thick headed at times but you'll never find another group of men and women that will look out for each other the way these marines do. it takes courage and true love for your fellow marines to throw yourself over an ied to save the rest of your platoon. Semper Fi and "honor, courage, and commitement" to the max. but even the marine corps has to love and respect the navy for their corpsmen who everyday save their lives. a marine once described a navy corpsmen as "a long haired, loud mouthed, disrespectfull S.O.B.s that would walk through the gates of hell to save a wounded marine." without the navy, the marines would be nothing because they would have no medics. out in the battle field, they cover for each other always.

After spending 20 years in the United States Air Force, I'd have to say - USAF! However, having a son in 101st Airborne Division makes the US Army a very close second.

US Army!! Spent 21 years in the Army and it
is a very good career choice. I served in Armor,
and Pershing Missle units and switched to The
US Army Signal Corps and that was a wise move.

Well **** I guess I'll be the first to say The Marines. Marines took the rope from the army, the anchor from the navy, the eagle from the air force and then conquered the world. Old I know, sorry. Marines are the only branch capable of Air, Land and Sea insertions.

The navy because it looks adventurous as is less strenuous on the servicemen, and they can gain real insight and experience true camaraderie.

Retirees.
Those in the over 70 set, especially. You'll rarely meet heros like them anywhere else.
