Hi, I’m a guy who’s 24 years old, and still a virgin. I was wondering could a relationship work if you have different beliefs on sex? Because I believe in abstaining from sex till marriage, what if I dated a girl who believed sex before marriage was ok? Could the relationship work? Or would there be problems?

I would stick to your beliefs. If the girl can not wait until marriage then she is not the girl for you. Love goes both ways. It's a 50/50 deal with all relationships. I think it's cool what you're doing. Do not let anyone change you or what you believe in.

You would both have to respect each other's beliefs. I don't know if there's any middle ground to compromise on right now.
There's always problems, because no two people believe exactly the same as the other in a lot of areas. So, relationships need compromise, understanding, respect no matter what the issues might be.

It really depends on the kind of girl your with..if she does not respect your beliefs..then she is not worth having.
You should find someone that either share your sames beliefs or will respect your beliefs.

it could work if you each accepted your personal beliefs as just that,,,, meaning decisions you made for yourself,,, and if you didnt try to impose them on the other person, or put the other person down because they were different , this applies to all differences, whether in sex, religion,,,, housekeeping habits etc etc

If you both stick to your beliefs, NO it will not work, there will be problems, If the two of you sit down and come up with some other solutions. and work on it, then yes it could work. there are ways that you guys could compromise...........................Good Luck

it's on how u both will handle ur situation. it's ur choice whether u wanna make it work or not.
whether ur beliefs on sex, on religion, on personality, etc...are different it doesn't matter, as long as u both understand each other...

it might work, it might not. just have open communication and talk about both of your beliefs. it should work out if you both care about eachother.
