Like creating separation between men, putting fear in their hearts, and creating a counter-culture who go on, as a reaction to the "I know-you don't" mentality (clearly by uninlightened people...sinners) to reject anything sacred?

Yep, just wait until those church people get on here later, after their weekly injection of faith. Then you will feel their wrath.

Churches don't create separation between men, men do that all by them selves. Look at how many different denominations of Christianity there are. Church didn't create them men did, by not wanting to believe the same things as everyone else. Church doctrine and the Bible teach morals that some members of society seem to have forgotten. If you understand what the Bible says it is not full of fear, it's about a promise of a better life. Think about it, if everyone was to strictly hold to the golden rule,"Do unto others as you would have done to you", the world would be a wonderful place. but the world is full of sin and needs to be reminded every once in awhile that we need God in our lives. Church is that outlet for God to speak to us.
Churches do more good than bad.

God Bless

Generally speaking no.There are some churches intstead of preaching salvation, love of God,they preach somethingelse like if you don't join theirs you will go to hell and if you don't give money God won't bless you.Instead of encouraging sinners (we are all sinners save by grace) to come to know Christ, they condemn them. These kind of teachings are just contrary to Jesus teachings when He was still on earth.
But there are also churches preaching the "Truth".I read the book of Rick Warren "The Purpose Driven Church" and "The Purpose Driven Life" These are wonderful books...The second book it tells and explain our real purpose on earth.
Rick Warren is the founding pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake,California. It's one of America's largest and best known church.A real church is like a mother and daughter. At the beginning of pregnancy until the baby is born the mother look after the safety of her baby. She gives love, care, norture, moral support and everything to keep her baby happy until she is ready and matured enough to stand of her own.I am happy with the church I'm attending.I'm in the music ministry and education ministry.I really thank God for using me the gifts He had given.

Absolutely not! When utilized as intended, any church stands as a force for good against the forces of evil. Unfortunately, any church can be taken over by the smug, the self-righteous, or the hypocritical. It is up to the members of each church to insure that it remains on the path of righteousness by allowing the Holy Spirit to move throughout it's members. When you see any church doing something mean-spirited or downright evil, you can be sure that God is not in control of that church. You can't sit back and do nothing when that happens. As one of God's children you have to speak out when you see your church falling from grace.

If the Church continuously condemns people because in their eyes members of their congregation might be using their own free will to follow what they believe, then yes, they do more harm than good and that is what causes the splits that have happened in the church over two thousand years.

I think that majority of religions are selfish and usually about themselves. I have met some very "Christian" people that have nothing to do with the church and some very "non-Christian'S" that have everything to do with it!!! lol You tell me if Church is bad! - I like the debate by the one above who obviously is religious!!

what is sacred? nothing is sacred, and when mankind comes to understand that, the world will awaken to what it is here for. and it isn't to do good and become religious. it's to learn and understand how he is to live as equal to all others. religion does nothing but create schisms between people.

The church is an institution of propaganda to reinforce delusions with dogma. So, I think that just by doing this, they do more harm then good.
