Since Down syndrome is not a disease, there is no cure. There is no good reason to joke about it either. You are not being funny, in fact, to joke about such things is just insensitive and cruel.
My son has Down syndrome and is a happy, bright, wonderful child. The biggest problem about having Down syndrome is having to cope with insensitive jerks who make rude and disparaging remarks about it. I wish there was a cure for heartlessness and cruelty.

Down Syndrome is nothing to joke about. There is not a cure. I work with children who have disabilities like down syndrome and autism. Parents of children who have down syndrome and other disabilities don't like people joking about it.

The cure is sterilization of the carriers of the defective genes
The most common are the 21st pair and the 13-14th pair resulting in Cris fy cha downs. There is no cure for Downs syndrome, once the child is born with it that's its lot in life.

im sorry there isn't any. down syndrome is an alteration in the genes, that cannot be manipulated to be treated. there are only therapies and support groups that help these people function normally and live a full life.
