the gto was/is a good car. but they have been really cold at the dealers, also in resale later on. so definitely buy one used as the price would be quite a bit cheaper than new because of a sharp depreciation.

Yes, its a good buy. The only thing bad about it is that Pontiac called it a GTO. It had no nostalgic cues of the old GTO. The car itself is great.

I haven't seen the 06 GTO, I know the old GTO was a good car. but you sure cant compare them to the new models. have it checked out for problems and decide if its what you want.you don't give enough info concerning if its a good buy.

Not just a good buy, but also a good burnout.
If an Honda, Toyota or BMW built a car with it’s performance capabilities at it’s price point, the automotive press would rave about it like it was the second coming.

I don't know if it'a "Good" car to buy...
I know its a "pretty cool" car to buy, rear wheel drive, coupe chassis, Big V8 power...
However i thought GM was putting the goat out to pasture "again" i understood that GM was going to stop making them due to slow-low sales of this model... might want to do some homework on it...
...Maybe you might want to waith for Chevy's new Camaro due for 08/09...or Dodge's Chalenger due for08/09...Both are Coupe designs, have rear wheel drive and use big V8 power.
Best wishes,
