What harm can it do for someone to snort a 30mg. Morphine tablet?

it is taking 4 hours to relieve to pain when taking orally while taking the time release coating off first and breaking it in half? I have cancer so please help!!!!!!!!!

Besides relieving your pain, what else can it do can you ask yourself?

If you almost reach the end of your life, what is your wish to accomplished in your life? What do you want to live as when you were young?

When you compromise the sustained release coating you are getting 30 mg all at one time and you've probably experienced a rush when you snort it but it doesnt last long. Snorting over a long period of time will eventually lead to some problems but depending on the type of cancer and your prognosis is it relevent? I would suggest seeing your hem-onc or pain management specialist to increase your dosage as it would appear the 30mg is not treating your pain effectively. You are not alone, this behavior is quite common in persons with pain mgmt issues that are unable to get relief, they start taking matters into their own hands and understandably so. Best of luck.

snorting any kind of pills or powders can cause major damage to your nose after a while. by snorting you also damage your lungs from particles when you breath through your nose after. snorting can also become addicting. i suggest if you have chronic pain that you take the pain meds before you get the pain and take your next dose before the last one wears off. and if you really are a cancer patient and you told your dr he would help you find the right meds.

it will probably burn the inside tissue at the back of your nose , i dont recommend doing it but it will help the pain faster or kill you ,,,, when people snort coke and heroin it is for an instant high opposed to swallowing it and waiting half hour for the high , but continued snorting does burn the lining at the back of your nose and often destroys the nerve senses of smell so beware and take care .... tell the dock what youre going to do and why , its allways best to get advice from someone who knows the outcome

DON T DO IT. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!

It gives you a horrible intensified rush, but it s VERY short lived.. I had snorted many of them, and I had a stroke and almost went blind after I came out of the cardio unit of the hospital I was treated horribly in for 4 weeks. Hours after snorting, I experienced seizures, tremors as if I had Parkinson s, and narcoleptic fainting (you don t sleep well until you get a next dose or fix, when you do get tired, you still don t sleep, but your body will want it- thus having unbearable head rushes and passing out at random parts of the day continuously).

Really, snorting that strong of a opiate, or any drug, is a suicidal action.. because you don t get the same effect as simply taking the pill as directed. Because of this, you find yourself wanting to snort more, because the withdrawal is twice as bad.. YOU WILL GET IRREVERSIBLE BRAIN DAMAGE WHEN SNORTING IT AFTER A SHORT PEROID OF TIME.

When you stop using or have detoxed from morphine, and relapse, and use again, especially the previous amounts you did before, overdosing and death will occur- AND YOU BETTER HOPE TO GOD A EMT FINDS YOU FAST ENOUGH TO INJECT NARCAN IN YOU BECAUSE AT POINT YOU HAVE MINUTES IF NOT SECONDS BEFORE YOUR BRAIN AND HEART SHUT DOWN! That s if someone finds your body in time.

When being pumped and having tubes everywhere in you in the hospital, you will then be blacklisted in universal pain management health care systems for such prescriptions, thus not being able to ever get them again for many years. No doctor will ever take you seriously from that point on, and you just only get prescriptions for extra strength ibuprofen which will do nothing for you or your "pain".

In your hospitalization, you most likely be placed on a extended psychiatric hold because you decided to chose that method of consumption- which is nothing like the luxury of a rehab that you can walk out of to relapse anytime you please- psychiatric hospitals are not a place to be. Taking them regularly, and "increasing" it because you "felt" you needed to and "misunderstood your doctor prescribing directions" is one thing, but when a RN or doctor finds out you snorted it morphine- they will not give you any Xanax, Ativan, Valium, or Klanopin because you re a junkie and cannot be trusted. You will be heavy on horrible psychotropic, atypical anti-psychotics that will leave you drooling on yourself in bed paralyzed at all hours of the day.

Opiate abuse not only hurts you, but the people who love you the most. Most drug addicts who don t get treatment, overdose and die, or liver will go out. There is no drum roll glory, adventure or soul searching in the midst of your using. It is selfish, stupid, and a waste of health- and once everyone in your life can not tolerate your manipulative tactics and cut you off, no one will be there in your life anymore especially on your death bed that s if you don t get cremated immediately because no one will care to bury you. You need attend NA meetings and find a therapist, because it will not get better. You start snorting, then smoking, then injecting.. It s a vicious cycle. Morphine abuse is the worst.. That s a shame you have amounted to this. And if you expected to find any sympathy or helpful tips on snorting morphine you are even more pathetic. No one cares. If this is what you chose to do with your life, your not "blessed", "broken" or any of that- you re an idiot.

I f you are going to snort it, I suggest that you crush it up first. Otherwise it is going to get stuck in you nose.
