Males are neutered, females are spayed. A male should defiantely be neutered (and no he is NOT too small to breed a larger dog!!!!) By neutering him it will eliminate the risks of testicular cancer & prostrate cancer. It wil leliminate incontinence brought on by prostrate problems, it will eliminate prostrate infections and anal fistulas..it will eliminate hormone drive behaviors and frustrations.
Females should be spayed...it eliminates reproductive cancers and a very serious uterine infection that is often fatal. It dramaticly decreases the risk of mamamry cancer and it eliminates the chance for accidental pregnancy.
The cost of spay/neuter is very small compared to the costs of raising a litter of pups or treating a serious infection, cancer or incontinence.

It is irresponsible for a pet owner to not do the right thing.

If you have no intentions of breeding or showing your dog it is always best to spay and neuter them for the long term health of your pet. Dogs that are not spayed or neutered have a higher chance of developing tumors that are dangerous. The chihuahua will be cheaper to fix b/c of the size but if you can find a low cost clinic they sometimes only charge like $75 for some of the larger breeds. The earlier you spay the husky the cheaper it will be b/c of size. Also, remember if you female goes into heat you will need to deal with her heat cycles and they are going to trigger some unwanted behavior in your chihuahua like urinating.

You should definately get your dog spayed!
It's doesn't matter if your dog is big or small, because when it comes time for mating, dogs don't care about size or breed!
Spaying your dog will make your dog more relaxed, will stop humping, and there won't be any surprize puppies!

Also, spaying isn't that expensive, especially if you go to the ASPCA, sometimes they will have a sale where it's only $35!

You definitely don't want any unwanted puppies and . I wish people would learn that it is necessary to get the males Neutered and the females Spayed. She should be spayed first. It would cost the County you live in to find homes for the unwanted pups and I sure wouldn't want them put down because of puppies you can't find homes for. That little guy can make puppies with the husky . Don't kid yourself. Even if you get him neutered that isn't going to stop him from humping. You get him neutered it may stop him from marking his territory.
Good luck and get her spayed.

Well..if you are getting a female husky, I think your Mom will want to spay her. Female dogs go into heat and make quite the mess and females that are not spayed have a much higher chance of develping cancer.

A dog of any size can make pups,

However the humping is a dominance issue and will not be sloved by that procdure.

It is healthier in the long run for pets to be spayed and neutered. With males you eliminate the risk of testicular problems and decrease risk of prostate problems. With females you decrease their chances of mammary gland, uterine and etc problems. AND THEY WON'T HAVE THE CHANCE OF GETTING PYOMETRA which is a condition which requires EMERGENCY SURGERY. Basically if you are not planning on breeding your pets anytime there is no reason for them to remain unfixed.

that's a dominance subject, and thoroughly typical. canines continuously combat over dominance. Your canines is merely the dominant one. you are able to seperate them whenever you like. it incredibly is not mandatory, and it incredibly is embarrassing (for you, no longer the canines.) it incredibly is not a sexual factor in any respect. merely affirming %. order.
