You'd like to improve your health and your bone density, but the calcium supplement feels like a dinosaur bone going down. Considering that dinosaur bones in the LA Museum of Natural History still look great without calcium, you're ready to skip the calcium carbonate. Don't.
While doctors swear by chelated vitamins, soft gels and liquid calcium supplements are easier for many people to digest. After all, you don't have the powerful jaws and strong stomach of a T-rex...but you're still around 100 million years later. All because you take your vitamin D and calcium.
Just make sure that you have a calcium and magnesium supplement--magnesium makes calcium absorption easier. Now you can swallow, gulp and stomp around just like the dinos did in "Jurassic Park."

Synthetic variety is not properly assimilated by our body. Why
don't you go for natural variety.
So many fruits and veggies along with cereals are natural source
of calcium to name a few - just drinking one glass of orange
juice twice a day will give you sufficient amount of calcium.
Another natural source is gingelly/sesame. In India during
14th January is celebrated with sesame and jaggery. In fact in
Mumbai there is a saying (ek til saath janani vatoon khava)
meaning one sesame seed should be shared with seven other
people. This is the great importance of consuming til. Ofcourse
if it is not practical to soak previous day then go for til ladoo
(sesame balls) til papdi in the northern part of India and til chikki
throughout India. Besides rich source of calcium it also has
plenty of fibre and also has saponin which they removes
cancerous cells from the body. Best of Luck.
