1) How do I calculate the US-designated horsepower of 200 into the required "PS" and "kw" in Austria?
2) Is the catalytic converter on my '07 GLI in conformity with EU emissions requirements. I've been told that in Austria there are three tiers/kinds of catalytic converters.

one horsepower = 1.0139 PS (202.8)
one horsepower = 0.745699872 kw (149.1)

I don't know about the catalytic converter though. Usually cars brought over to the US have less power due to the more restrictive emissions standards. My M3 has less power due to different cats further up the exhaust compared to the Euro version where the cats are behind the tranny. It's only 5 HP, but in earlier years it was significant.
