My sister has been together with her boyfriend who's Albanian for the last 3 years. They live together and are very much in love.
He came to this country at 15, since then he's been studying and working up until now, he's 23. All this time he's been waiting for a decision from the home office , living his life in limbo... however recently the home office arranged an interview for which a lot of his friends including myself wrote letter supporting him, he truly is a great person, hard working, fair and decent. He told me that he was quite disappointed at the little regard they paid at the letters and that he had a bad feeling about the whole thing. My sister called me in tears today saying that he received a letter from the home office ordering him not to move from his address and go to an interview on the 5th of March if he doesn't oblige then he will get arrested. It sounds like he will be deported. My sister and him are devastated... iIs all this fair?

you are wrong....the order to remain at his present address is just a formality.
I think you should feel optimistic....he has lived there for eight years and has become established in the community. he has a solid case on that basis.

If you are asking if it fair or not - we cannot answer.
Fair means that situation was treated according to laws.
However, little facts were provided for us to make any judgement.
Also, outcome is not clear, it will be clear on March 5th.
Two things.
1) Immigration always pay little attention to leters, unless it is a specific case. Sometimes they like letters of support for married couple, if one spouse is a foreigner, but it is never decisive or anything. They dont have time for this.
2) Did they want deport him, he would be in detention immigration jail right now. I dont know what they said to him, but why is he so sure?.!..
Well let us know details, and more specific questions.

top till now to the MSNBC tale that comments Biden's unlawful effect peddling, which comes top after CNN's journalistic blockbuster on Franks and Dodds' oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. have you ever befell to be certain the story of the 89 DUI's final year, all democrats? Yeah, me neither. How approximately how greater then a million/2 of your congressmen can't qualify for a credit card, yet they very own quite a few residences? How relating to the story on why is it that newcomers senators come to congress very nearly broke, yet bypass away millionaires? the place is the story of 10 richest congressmen? Why is it that congress gets loose nutrients (and not hamburgers or frozen pizza), and however the "want" a cost of residing improve? as a substitute of attempting to get down on one information company or yet another, why do no longer you get down on your congressmen and ask them why they think of they could make something crash, placed funds into it, make a fortune, and then get off without time? Why is it they could no longer pay taxes till they get caught, then pay it, say it became a mistake, and bypass back to creating hundreds of thousands.

Can't say for certain if it's fair, you didn't give all the details (as many have said), BUT if I were you I would advise your sister and her boyfriend to contact a lawyer. The lawyer can probably shed light on what is going on and what needs to be done. etc. Good Luck.

no it doesnt sound fair.. tell her to marry him so there is nothing they can do. once there are papers showing marraige.. then they cannot deport him.. (i think) that is what a friend of mine did.. and he is still here since right after 9-11 so good luck and i would say get a lawyer if not getting married.

I wonder about our National government? How we decide who stays? I feel sorry for your sister. But I feel more worried about this country. I also wonder if he loves this country? Are we as Americans shooting ourselves in the feet?

If he didn't come legally, it would be fair.
I don't know the circumstances of how he came, to begin with.
