Both of those Amps will work fine with that speaker. The KX600.1 is the better amp if you are going to run it hot all of the time. (Turn up the volume and leave it up for extended periods.)

The 600 will accept a fatter/lower gauge wire in a 4 gauge while the 400 will only accept an 8 gauge wire.

It all comes down to usuage. If you are going to run the crap out of your system, use the 600, if you are going to turn it up 25% to 50% the 400 will work fine.

The 400 is 10.25"x12.81" and the 600 is 16"x10.1" so you also may figure out which one will fit better.

Kicker amps are known for having the ability to stay cool under heavy loads. Although the KX600 is better, i think it would be overkill and you'd just be throwing your money away. The KX400 will more than satisfy your bumping pleasure

i'd opt for the KX600 which has the most watts. If it calls for a 4 guage wire then you genuinely ought to quite use it. also the smaller the guage the more effective chance you've of blowing fuses, having your gadget change on and stale or perhaps causing a fireplace.
