If muslim men get 70 virgins when they die, what do the muslim women get?

Show me Exactly where in the Koran it says that a Muslim, going to heaven, will get 50, 70, 72, or any other number of virgins.
I've read the book cover to cover, and I still can't find the reference.
Am I mistaken, or have we all been lied to about this?
Why would someone lie about the contents of the Koran?
What could they possibly hope to gain?
Are they Evil? Should they burn in Hell, eternally?

The difficulty in determining what the Koran has to say about virgins and such is establishing what the Koran says, period. Translators vary widely in their rendering of the spare and often opaque text. For example, we find the following passage in a Web-based version of Islam's holy book (www.unn.ac.uk/societies/islamic/index.htm): "Verily, for the Muttaqun [righteous], there will be a success (paradise); gardens and grapeyards; and young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age; and a full cup (of wine)" (An-Naba 78:31-34). Whoa, one thinks--the Kingdom of Heaven meets the Playboy Advisor! However, most other English translations, both on-line and in print, replace "full-breasted maidens" with some tame construction such as "companions." Inquiring further, we find that the Arabic word at issue is WakawaAAiba, which appears nowhere else in the Koran. The French, less prudish in these matters, usually render it as something like des belles aux seins arrondis, "beautiful women with round breasts," so I think it's pretty clear what the Prophet, or at least his stenographers, had in mind.
Nothing in the Koran specifically states that the faithful are allotted 72 virgins apiece. For this elaboration we turn to the hadith, traditional sayings traced with varying degrees of credibility to Muhammad. Hadith number 2,562 in the collection known as the Sunan al-Tirmidhi says, "The least [reward] for the people of Heaven is 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome of pearls, aquamarine and ruby."
As for what the women get, I don't know. Try asking a Muslim. You might be pleasantly surprised to find that they're a human being, just like you.

Boy, you can tell this religion was written by man. What woman in her right mind would say a man gets a bunch of virgins if he is a martyr and a woman gets nothing? To change the subject, I would like to know how these muslims know this is true? If I were going to die for someone, I would want proof that the promise of virgins or any other reward is true.! The Hadeeth says : “The shaheed will be married to seventy-two hoor al-‘iyn”

This question was put to Shaykh ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Jibreen, may Allaah preserve him, who answered as follows:

This number is only for men. A woman will have only one husband in Paradise, and she will be satisfied with him and will not need any more than that.

The Muslim woman – who is not influenced by the claims of those who propagate permissiveness and knows that she is not like men in her make-up and nature, because Allaah has made her like that – does not object to the rulings of Allaah or feel angry. Rather she accepts what Allaah has decreed for her. Her sound nature tells her that she cannot live with more than one man at a time. So long as she has entered Paradise, she will have all that she desires, so she should not dispute now about the delights and rewards that her Lord has chosen for her, for your Lord does not treat anyone unjustly. If she is one of the people of Paradise, then she is included, like men, in the words of Allaah (interpretation of the meaning):

“Trays of gold and cups will be passed round them; (there will be) therein all that inner-selves could desire, and all that eyes could delight in and you will abide therein forever”

[al-Zukhruf 43:71]

This versers contradicts the scriptures regarding reward in heaven. Jesus said that he brings his reward with him when he comes back on earth. and also the people in heaven will marry nor give in to marriages.

Actually the 72 virgins is for martyrs..and martyrs in Islam aren't only those who perform all kinds of Jihad, martyrs are ones who die drowning, due to burning, any fatal illness that effects the stomach, woman in child birth, a woman who her children died and such
anyway.. Heaven is not about sexual pleasure to be begin with, and sex is more important to men that to woman so it was in the Quran as a great reward to men ( men are so easily allured)
anyway women get eternal youth as men do, and women in Heaven can chose any man from Heaven or her husband..she has the choice, she gets a kingdom of her own with her man and the things she love...
of course she gets to be with the prophets, great men and most importantly God..
