Would you live here? My home is on a very large lake and it's absolutely beautiful here. Because of a hill I can't see the nuclear plant but it's there just a mile away. People across the bay pay twice the price as mine on the water and I suppose think they are safe from the radiation if an accident were to occure. They are about 2 miles as the crow flies from the plant. I absolutely love my home here and I have my private boat dock and all is well. Would you live here?

It could be a lot worse. You could live near a disgusting, coal-fired power plant. You are no worse off living next door to a nuclear plant than you would be if you lived 10 or even 20 miles away. My town has a nuclear plant about 6 miles from my home. In case of accident, warning sirens would be sounded and you would have a fairly good chance of getting away before things got really bad. But if the worst should happen, you would probably die instantly, and the ones who live 10-20 miles out would live a few more years and suffer with cancer and radiation sickness. Seriously, you are more likely to die in a car wreck than because of the power plant. Nuclear plants may seem scary, but the actual risk from them is very small, compared with other things that we do every day without a second thought.

i'd quite stay next to a nuclear potential plant anyday. Nuclear potential has a nasty popularity ever considering 3 Mile Island and Chernobyl, besides the undeniable fact that it easily is fairly secure, the possibilities of yet another meltdown are fairly low. except that the in trouble-free terms aspect you fairly ought to emphasize about is the radiation from the plant, besides the undeniable fact that the designers of the plant have already concept about that and made shields around the middle to shrink radiation. On a common foundation people recieve about three hundred mrem a three hundred and sixty 5 days from known such issues because the solar, so an more beneficial couple from the plant gained't do a aspect.

No, I think I would move. What's the use of having all those nice things if you wont live long enough to enjoy it. Have you sen the ad on TV where the couple go into the hotel room and can't believe that the ambiance is so nice and the furniture is so posh, and go out on the rear balcony to see that they are right smack dab in the middle of a graveyard. I would move.

Yes obviously, the way u have described it,the place sounds wonderful.(lucky to have ur own dock). As far as the nuclear plant is concerned, i dont think it will be much of a problem,if u still feel afraid visit the plant and ask them about the safety measures they take...it will help u feel safer!
