apostasy in our time? And the amount of unanswered prayers?

Do we rely so much on science that we no longer have faith?

Surely a balance would be better, accepting what science has to offer, while still having faith.

Give me a reason why faith is better then science and logic....then ill answer your question. Plus you assume that prayers were answered alot more often before science...evidence?

I don't like the idea of "taking things on faith"... the only things I take on faith are things that I cannot explain with logic and reason. When I can find no reasonable explanation for an occurence, this is when I turn to faith. I have come to accept that God does work in mysterious ways, and usually those ways involve scientific principles of some sort. We know that science is governed by laws, and regarding many things, we know what these laws are. What we DON'T know is WHY these laws and principles are in place. That is what I reserve faith for; I have faith that God put these laws into place for a reason.

Science and spirituality do not exist in opposition of one another. There is a God; so too is there gravity, atoms, elements, and energy. The more we understand of how the universe works, the more we understand God. Granted, in the grand scheme of things, man knows very little of all the laws that govern us and the power behind those laws (God). But does that mean that we should no longer strive to learn? Should we all lay down our hands, shut off our minds, and embrace ignorance in the name of God? I happen to think not. But then, I am but a man, and when it comes right down to it, I know nothing more of God than you or anybody else. Yet again, I turn to faith. I have faith in the idea that my faith is correct. I have no further proof than my own convictions, and you have yours. This is 'faith'.

Perhaps this is the balance that you speak of?

Sorry, my take on it.

If by "faith", you mean believing without reasoning, then I have no use for it.

bIBLE knowledge? Knowledge is illusion... science or religious babble... the only 'real' is what you establish personally.
