Hmmm.. foreign cars... let's see... Chevy parts and some assembly from Canada, Mexico and South America... Ford same thing... Chrysler, owed by a German firm that is doing much the same as Chevy and Ford... Toyota could be the highest percent "American" vehicle in the group... at least the cars they are designing, selling and racing are made here by Americans...
Yes, wake up America...

NASCAR had to alow Toyota in to the sport. The rules state that any car that is "made" in America is alowed to race in NASCAR. It is unfortuante though, the fans will pull against the toy cars until they win a race and then it will be just anouther car on the track. The same thing happend in the truck series.

I will let all the people I know who work over at the Toyota factory making Tundras that they should quit their jobs because they are making a better product than the people up North. Maybe your brothers and sisters should move down to Indiana and get a job at the Toyota factory.

Yes, I didn't like seeing my #1 guy, D.J., driving that toy. I have been his fan for over 20 years and I will continue to be. I just wish he was still #88 and not #44. Are they trying to tell us his car now is half the car he used to drive? Well it was only the first race, let's give it a chance. Race the truck, Dale!!!

Toyotas are built in America, and that's already pretty American, especially when the other 3 aren't
Or are you thinking America for Americans? well tough, it's not anything like that anymore.
And I don't give a hoot about what car the driver is driving, just who the driver is.

Yes Troy, it is time to wake up. Wake up to the fact that Ford is putting your brothers and sisters out of work by making the Fusion in Hermisillo Mexico. How many American jobs were lost in that deal. Toyota has plants in Georgetown KY, San Antonio Texas, Princeton Indiana, Buffalo WV, one in Alabama. all of these appear to be in the continental US. Also, they looking to build yet another plant in the US, while the big three with union help continues to shutter plants. Tell the folks up north to come down south. There's plenty of work and the weather is better as well.

Because they saw the chance for something else that is American...money. Besides, it gives the "sport" more exposure around the world. If I'm not mistaken, they are thinking about having a few races outside of the U.S. (Busch already has one in Mexico City) and this can only help them outside of the country.

Um--get a clue. Toyota cars and trucks are made in America. GM and Ford have closed US plants and moved to Mexico. You call that American?

The point of allowing Toyota in is to attract new fans. But at what expense? Nascar has lost its roots and now some of its longtime fans for more money.
