I agree. The first person I slept with was such a loser and we were drunk. Not to mention his penis was so small it didn't even break my hymen

In a way. I was 14, he was 20. I just felt pressured to do it. I wish I would have waited for someone who respected me more than he did. However. I try not to hold regrets, just learn from my mistakes and move on. So since this is a big thing that can't be undone, there's no sense dwelling on it...

Me again. Yes, I regret it, because I am the older generation, born in the early fifties. The norm was to wait until you got married. I waited, my first lover was the man I'd married earlier that day.
It was an absolute disaster. I hated it, I hated him. He was an absolute boor. I stayed married for 12 years, because you did in those days, had four children, gritting my teeth everytime he touched me.
Have been free now for over 20 years, but I know if I'd slept with him beforehand, I would not have married him.
It's so much better today.
My current partner is a wonderful lover. I did not even know what an orgasm was until we met. I was 43 before I had one!
Imagine that!!

I do regret it - I was 17 and this was too young (for me, not necessarily for everyone) He was my first boyfriend and so quite considerate and caring, but I didn't feel about his the way I would have liked to. I had started going out with him more through peer pressure than wanting to. I wish I had been stronger!!
Looking back, it would have helped if my mom had been able to talk to me about sex. I don't blame her, because she did her best. But as a parent now I try and be as open as possible with my children and talk about the emotional issues as well as the mechanics, if you know what I mean.
I guess we would all like our first time to be special and romantic, and mine wasn't, but it was OK. I made up for it with different partners in the next few years though!!

Not really. The first time is just clumsy, quick and unadventurous anyway. I think that it's nice to start a relationship having got the practise out of the way and knowing what you are doing.

Dreadfully, I became pregnant, how unlucky is that? I wasn't in love either, it was just an experiment. I had to marry him (1950s) one had to then because of the pressures of society. I was 17, it basically ruined my life ever after.

Yes, because the guy wasn't deserving and did not care for me as a person. He was in it for himself and only him self. It was awfully painful not romantic and unlike the movies. I suggest all newbies save it for someone they truly think is special.

Yeah. The feeling is mutual but I'm still lucky that I found my beau who is open minded, respects me, loves me and makes me happy in his own ways. (- -,)
