technically better at coping skills,stress n better ability at forgiving and hope in life and healing are but probably only side benefits... prayer should be one whereby you enjoy your relationship with God

Nope, I dont pray and to be honest, I don't react to stress at all, I'm probably the most forgiving person I know (and modest too!), as for the minds healing power, I'd rather a doctor give me a sugar pill and tell me it cures cancer...If anything prayer creates false hope.

As someone knowing that he prays to the all Almighty& lays everything between God's hands it's soothe the pain and relieve partially the stress. Yeh, that's right.
Mat 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Asking forgiveness for example have 2 benefits I guess so,
1st that God will helping you to achieve your good intentions;
2nd it seems like a brain wash from bad intentions to be replaced with good ones.

Actually, I've found that those who meditate, rather than engage in dialogue based prayer, tend to have the best results in these areas. This leads me to conclude that self-exploration and spiritual discipline, rather than conversation with an "other than" Deity is probably the best route to go.

no i don't think so i've never been a big fan of prayer and i've dealt my fair share of stress, the way i see it is if i'm still breathing there's still hope, sometimes it's boiled down to sheer spite to keep me going but the end result is still the same i am still right here
