It sounds like a good show, kind of like the television version of the Taste of Home recipe magazine.

You have a great idea and I wish you luck with it. I cook for one and that isn't easy as I usually have a lot leftover. If it is too much and would be tired of it after a meal or two, I freeze it. But, over time I have learned that I can make a completely different meal with the leftovers. Don't get bored with the same thing and it saves a lot of money. For instance, I make a beef roast, mashed potatoes and a vegetable. I take the leftovers and make shepherds pie. This concept would be a good thing to pass on to your viewers. If your recipe only calls for say a half can of food that you open then plan your next meal to use the other half so that it does not go to waste. The ideas and recipes are countless.

I think it's a great idea. I don't watch the cooking shows because whereas they have wonderful gourmet dishes, nothing is practical for a family. Sure, we could all strive to be like Bree on Desperate Housewives, but the reality is we are more like Lynette. This is why I like Rachel Ray, she has perfect 30 minute meals which use for the most part real ingredients.
Having a cooking show where the whole family can come together to prepare it would be great too.
Kudos to you for creating a great show that I would certainly watch!
Good Luck!

1. Either a shelter, breed specific rescue, or a reputable breeder. They will at least be healthy. 2. I'm not quite sure how to answer this one, honestly. Price tag certainly does not always dictate quality and/or health of the dog. Pet stores vs. shelters being a prime example of that. 3. I don't think it is responsible to purposfully produce mixed breeds and sell them for hundreds of dollars and passing them off as some new and exciting "hybrid", when there are mixed breed puppies dying every day in shelters because there are not enough homes for them. 4. See above. That is when I have issues with mixed breeds. 5. I believe they need at least an annual check up. 6. Inside the house in a crate. If I cannot supervise the dog, it will be in a crate so it won't have the chance to be destructive. 7. I would feed my dog a high quality kibble such as Merrick, and mix in some raw meat a few times a week. I wouldn't dare feed my dog any brands you see commercials for though. They're too poor quality of food since one of their first ingredients is corn and that causes a lot of dietary and allergy related issues in dogs.

Although you seem to have a fresh idea, some of which you plan and talk about has been used. But, an angle that may be worth investigating could be to add that reality T.V. spin to it. So, say meals could be done by a different family each episode. In maybe different locations and perhaps under adverse conditions, like camping or the rainy day BBQ.
Good luck with that....!

First I would like to say,"Good luck to you." This show sounds like something so many people can use. Not everyone is out there trying to shadow Bon Appetit. Some people just need to put some food on the table. That in it's self can be challenging. We can come up with meals for a few days, even a few weeks. To keep it fresh and to have food that isn't boring after a while. That is not always easy. Any suggestions people can provide on this subject should be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like a great show. I hate having to go out to buy items I don't usually have for one recipe, only to have the remaining go bad. What a waste of money. I wish you success!
