What do i need to study to work in a care home for children that a waiting to be fosterd?

Hi, I use to work with children (11 to 16 year olds) in Social Services care homes and I feel that the best thing to do would be to get an NVQ in social/child care also try get a placement in a care home so that you can get 'hands on' experience.

p.s it can be very emotionally draining and frustrating but it can also be extremely rewarding

there must be a NVQ or diploma course in children with special needs - ask at your local college
