I recommend you visit the official "Canadian Citizenship and Immigration" website, simply.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.html

I'm an immigrant myself in Canada and has got all my resources needed from this website which is by far the most informative and user friendly websites in the world for a country's immigration. It is up-to-date, and with good links for faster browsing, and will direct you to info on the province you will settle in, because the policies and rules differ in each province.

And take time to know the website, as it becomes more helpful
I know where to look for evrything now after going through the process!

My point of view on this country, based on my own experience -I might tell you that it is a melting pot of cultures and you will probably find people from your own ethnic background easily. The Canadian laws and policies are well structured to give immigrants their deserved chance at integrating into their new country. Unlike some other European countries who restrict the certain govt or civil service jobs to immigrants, I've seen immigrants occupy various noble positions or diverse fields in Canada-at least the French part. Besides, Canada play a role in variou International Human rights organization, be reaasured that you have the liberty to seek your rights.

My advice if you will settle in Quebec (French Canada), these people are traumatised by their lost in war to the English and want to be distinguished clearly from the rest of Canada. They are strong patriots who want to preserve the French minority heritage left. You will probably have a hard time expressing your universal oppinions, and cross-national taste in pop culture and languages.

I hope I have the best answer!

go to immagration Canada and find out all the rules, BUT if you come here leave you religieon , politcs, laws, where you are from. We have to change our laws to suit alot of immigrants because they think that they are better than us, and we should have to accomadate them, the only thing i can say is live our way or get out, this is our country, not yours, plane and simple truth.....
