Your boss has very right to dismiss you for accessing a 'banned website' as he will not have his premises and computers used by 'deviants' to look at and if possible 'download' prohibited data; of an 'offencive or perverse' nature. from such a banned website.
His message to you and others is 'he won't employ perverts in his business.
Good for your boss. and 'SHAME ON YOU'.

Tell him, you accidently got into his email.......... Call his bluff.
Turn the situation round, even if you have not accessed his mail, if he pauses, then you know and everyone else will know that he looks at that stuff also.
Like the marine that got a Dear John letter from girlfriend saying she had cheated on him and she wanted her picture back, he got all the pics from his army buddies girlfriends, sent them all back to her and said, who the hell are you ?
