For the past 19 weeks, I've been working out 5-6 days a week. I work out almost an hour every day. I've so far lost 30lbs and 29inches. I'm very proud of myself. Problem is, for the last two months now, I've been at the same weight. I go down and I get excited and think oh yes I'm going to lose more and I can't wait to reach my goal of 50lbs. But then the next day I'm back up to where I was again... it's so frustrating. I do count my calories, I keep a journal, I have a ton of people rooting for me and telling me I can do it, which I know I can. What can I do to make my weight start falling again? Should I try pills or a drink or something? Help!!! :(

Like I said, I do count my calories and I do count and watch out for the cards. I eat a lot of protein!!! I do stay active and I do ONLY drink water. I haven't ate any fast food or soda/juice/alcohol or anything for a whole 19 weeks going on 20 weeks as of today!!!

Eat smaller meals and intake 6 small meals daily, in increases your metabolism throughout the day.
Also drinking diet coke or intaking a lot of sugars and carbs could also lead to continuous balancing of your natural weight.
You should remember that you have lost a lot of weight so far and reducing your weight more may not be what your body desires, you see people have a natural weight, that is what their body is comfortable with staying with and depending on your current weight right now, your body is more than likely comfortable with this current weight and u should focus less on actual losing weight now and more on toning more.
ALSO DONT TAKE THOSE PILLS OR DRINK, TOTALLY UNHEALTHY AND CAN LEAD TO SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES IN THE LONG RUN.
good luck.

No pills will help. Save your money...it sounds like you have hit a plateau in your program...It happens. Try this, shake up your work out program a bit. Do anything you can to add more intensity..more reps, more speed, whatever. The body will adapt to a work out program if it does not vary from time to time. Plus. do not always believe the scales. You are working out, replacing fat with muscle. Muscle does weight more that fat. So let the mirror and the tape tell you the truth. Do you look better? do you feel better? You can substitute more cardio for weight training if this becomes a big issue for you. You have already done so much. Do not let numbers get in the way of your progress. I am rooting for you too.

Is 50 pounds your goal weight? because if it is it sounds exceptionally light. I think you need to look at health over a longer period of time and as a holistic goal. Ive read that its not wise to count calories just watch what you eat(junk food ) portion sizes and stuff like that and your body will find its true equilibrium (eg weight), you sound like your doing exceptionally well. But id be concerned about to much weight loss as its well documented with men and women about fixations on body image and weight loss for both sexes and the prevalence of eating disorders in both sexes although women are focused on more than men but that is slowly changing. Best of luck:)
By the way I'm to resuming my fitness goals after a six month bender and 12 kilos heavier.

congratulations! wow, you've done so well. a lot of the time a dieter can experience a plateau in their regime. don't be discouraged just keep doing what you're doing. you could probably try mixing up your exercise regimes by working out at a different time, doing different activities or something like that. it happens to nearly everyone, but it won't stop you from eventually reaching your goal. it'll just take a bit longer!
keep it up!
oh and never resort to diet pills. not only are they a scam, but they are bad for you. don't pump chemicals in your system when you've already achieved so much without them.

If you are working with weights, you need to change your routine every couple of months to keep your body guessing and train hard until it hurts to get the muscles pumping.
I have been training for four years and am constantly changing it and I don't bother weighing myself because i have more muscle than fat, i go by inches, my arms are 12inches, waist 25inches, hips 31inches and i do cardio monday to friday morning 30 minutes at about 70-80% of my maximum heart rate. i then go back in the afternoons and weight train with myhusband monday to Saturday. On mondays and Thursdays I do Chest and Back and abs, on Tuesdays and Fridays I do Biceps and Triceps and on Wednesdays and Saturdays i do legs and shoulders. I keep the same body groups together but i change the exercises, sets and reps i do.

Its sounds like you have hit a plateau in your weight lose. (it just happened to me to) What i'd do is start doing different exercises, change it up, work out less like 3-4 times a week but work out harder (not longer). Try some weight lifting the more muscle mass you have the more caloires you burn while at rest. I hope that helps you, good luck.
