I am sure that there is more to do in Lancashire than that. If there seriously isn't, try visiting the better side of the Pennines. No offence intended - honest!

Leeds has the Royal Armouries. Sheffield has a ski village. There are plenty more, depending on what you like.

If you have children there is Eureka in Halifax.

We have a few ponds if you want to risk drowning.
And my garden is waterlogged so you could paddle to your hearts content.
We have a few good swimming pools. Mostly occupied by kids from school on week days, but you do get one or two lanes free, unless you want to go before 9am in which case the whole place is yours.
I seriously cant think of anywhere else.
