interesting Q. Well, although there are a lot of people of might be truly good or truly bad, I think that the majority of us are somewhere in the middle. There is often an us vs. them mentality that comes into play when we are looking at people who we consider "evil." But in my opinion, it all has to do with degree. I think that all of us have some evil in us. Hasn't everyone done something wrong or unethical at one time or another? I know I have. But its just that some of us have done more wrongdoings than others. Others who might have not done as many evil deeds as others could have made up for it with the severity of a few bad ones. To exemplify, I'm probably not a "good" person because I don't give to charity, I have commited some crimes in the past, and I have never done volunteer work out of the goodness of my heart. At the same token, I'm probably not a "bad" person either because I have never killed anyone, I don't purposely try to give others grief, and I try to be good to other people. It's hard to draw the lines since there is both good and evil in everyone, but I suppose you can draw them in terms of "how good" or "how evil." The Ying Yang philosophy believes that one cannot exist without the other for they are complimentary. The Yang Yang symbolizes to fish forming a perfect circle (one represents the good in everyone and the other the evil) I hope I've provided some insight for you.

The world can be divided into good and evil by anyone who choses to, but their view will very unlikely ever be shared by everyone. Good and evil are just perceptions like right and wrong, they aren't universal truths, just man made viewpoints.

We can't divide the world like that.Good and evil exists every where and in every person. It depends on ones' upbringing, belief and philosophy as well as religious background. There are good people in all communities and in every part of the world.

Good and evil are value judgements and that judgement sometimes depends on who you ask. For example, when a soldier gets killed in a war it's considered an evil by his comrads and a good by his enemies.

It is almost all gray. This is becasue good and evil are subjective ideas and what is good to one person could very well be evil to another and vice versa.
