There is no general ZIP code for the UK, each town has it's own Which generally begins with the first letter or first two lwtters of the town/city. Also, in general the smaller the number the closer the address it to the city centre.

Eg Sheffield could have S3 (approx 3 miles from the main town) or Manchester could have M13.

London is divided into North, South East and West so would be N4, W5 etc.

London also has postcodes for North West, South East etc (NW1, SE1)

Hope this helps

We apply post codes and not zip codes and each town has there own which varies from street to street and even what side of the street you are sending it to. If you think that is wacky then imagine how the post man/woman feels - good job it is all computerised isnt it.

I know the UK is smaller than USA but we have many different zip codes (known as postcodes here) for all the different areas. Can you be more specific, do you have a particular city in mind?

zip code is for post in the US. For post in the UK, UK is the country, and enter the 'post code' instead of the zip code. There is no specific zip code for the UK.

Every area has a zip code as you call it, you need to be more exact about where in the uk

they vary as to which city you are near!
eg. i live in the vicinity of Bradford so my zip code starts with bd and the rest tends to be random. but it is the same for all houses on 1 road, and here in England it is called a post code!
