I don't think taking St. John's Wort will interfere with zinc. Zinc is a trace mineral that's normally found in the human body. Are the "stresstabs" just zinc are do they contain something else? If they contain some other herbs besides St. John's Wort they might interfere with each other. I took St. John's wort while taking Paxil and my anxiety got worse. I just started taking St. John's wort by itself yesterday, but I don't know if it will help or not, we'll see. I did read later if you take St. John's Wort in combination with drugs like Prozac and Paxil they tend to interfere with each other. If I think it works as well as Paxil by itself, I might just take that instead of going to the doctor.

Yes you can take them at the same time, make sure you only take one a day to start with, hypericum is also useful and is stronger than St Johns Wort and available in Health food stores. The only thing that I know they will interfere with is the oral contraceptive pill where it makes it less effective.

Proceed with caution with St John's Wort. It can interfere with coagulation of the blood and also cause a gastritis.

If St. John's Wort doesn't work for you try Valarian Root.
