The ticket is issued to the registered owner, but because there is no picture of the driver there is no points on your license. The driver should pay your ticket. If it was your wife....good luck

you have a time consuming problem on your hands .. if you want to fight this you have to go to court and show that this wasnt you . and bring in the liscened driver that was driving your car at the time . because the city wants to get paid somehow .. or just ask your friend for the dough and end up in an aquard situation .. or just pay it and save grief and time . and hold it over your friends head lol.. ( dont do that )

Most jurisdictions will excuse you if you were not the operator of the vehicle. but they will REQUIRE you to identify the driver, if you don't the violation will be charged to you.

Some jurisdictions are rethinking the traffic light cameras because of these types of problems.

This happened to my friend. It was her car, she paid for it and everything, but it was registered under her moms name. They mailed pics to the address DMV had(her moms) and they both went down to dmv and everything and explained it wasnt the mom driving, that it was the daugher, but they still made the mom pay and even tried sayin it was the mom driving.
