Most people on YahooAnswers do not mind answering questions vaguely just to get points, or does everyone answer YahooAnswers enjoy what they're doing?

I just began using Yahoo Answers a few months ago and I try to answer honestly based on lifes experience or in my long career in the medical field as best as I know how.
I always tell everyone, when in chat or emails, that only thing I lie about online is my age....lol. on that I have used so many dates that if it asked my date of birth wouldn't be able to log back in cause wouldn't remember what date I used....lol
I have enjoyed this and even if I don't answer a question when I click on the question I will rate some of the answers when it seems like such sound advice to the question.

this depends on the question. Tis true that sometimes I am flippant in my responses (to usually flippant Qs), sometimes I will answer to get points but on the whole I respond because I care about the subject matter and the feelings of the askee. I also believe that most other respondees care also.

Like every and anywhere in the world, you will find people who will give serious answers to questions presented to them. Yahoo Answers have the same. You will find that most people here are serious about responding to questions presented because they want to help others. Of course, you will find a few who doesn't care about anything and will not give serious answers to serious questions.

I guess you just stump me most of the time. Obviously this was not one of them. If I ask one that no one here answers that just means that no one on at the moment is interested in the topic or no one on at the time knows the answer. At least you are not attracting a bunch of TRolls that will insult and confuse you.

wel u get a lot of them. some of them are good, apt and just what u need. others just fool around or need points. yahoo answers is an example of variety, i guess. the best answerers answer seriously.

yes i think so, generally a serious question does get a majority of serious answers. a funny question generally funny replies. and a weirdo sick question get various types of answer abusive, witty. or funny depending on how people have taken it.one of those being julia with her usual attempts at winding people up.

I answer them as if the questioner REALLY needs the answer. Some don't.

I think most try to only you do get the odd one who gives a stupid answer, I try to anyway
