Two things:
1. Here's a source of relatively balanced information to educate yourself with:
http://www.medicalmarijuanaprocon.org
2. From personal experience, I have noticed improvement after reduced usage. Like any mind altering substance, whether prescription or otherwise, it has its limitations and proper dosages. Know your limits.

Marijuana does not cause brain damage. It is not addictive, and does not make a person behave violently. It does not impair your memory or ability to learn unless you think it does. It is not good to constantly use it, or to do it when you shouldn't. Remember that if it's inappropriate to drink alcohol in a certain situation, then you probably shouldn't be consuming marijuana at that time either. The absolute worst thing about it is the legal consequences. And the propaganda. It has many medical uses, and few if any side effects if not abused. However, if you have been abusing it then it's a good idea to stop for a while. Then you can tell us if it helped you.

I don't think it would improve. But like anything it must be done in moderation for best results.
