Bush's speech on immigration (wonder why it has been such a big focus issue in the news lately) to discuss the need for quote a "BIOMETRIC TECHNOLOGIC...TECHNOLOGY" for 20 million immigrants. His administration is pushing for human implantable microchips for immigration, to protect us from "terror". Applied Digital Solutions the company that manufactures Verichip openly endorses implanting babies, the elderly, businessmen etc. They stand to make MILLION$ chipping Americans like animals! Here's the problem with your comments, sir:

Some people are so engrossed in their hatred for President Bush, that they will let emotions overrun their arguments and thus, let their arguments go way off the deep end.

Your comments are no exception to this trend!

Bush's speech speaks of computer chips being put into ID CARDS -- not people.

Yet, you have twisted the facts -- you've painted a picture of people having chips physically implanted in their bodies. Something that Bush did not even come close to saying he wanted to do.

And, so what if one of Bush's former staffers will be working for a company that makes the chips?

Does this stop any other company from developing such chips and trying to break into the market? No, it does not.

I live in Japan, and as a non-Japanese citizen, I have to carry certain ID on me that shows that a) I'm legally allowed to live here, and b) I'm legally allowed to work here.

Does this make me feel like an "animal," to use one of your overemotionally charged words? Not at all.

On the contrary -- it protects me from being made a target of suspicion, arrest, and/or deportation.

What's more, it enables the Japanese authorities to identify me -- and to make appropriate contacts -- in the event that an accident or sudden illness leaves me incapacitated.

Do yourself a favor -- don't let your hatred for Bush override your every action and thought.

Disagreeing with the president is fine, but twisting his words and misrepresenting his actions based on a sheer hatred for the man is not acceptable.

Yes, it concerns me (she typed wearily). EVERYTHING about the Bush presidency's connection to Big Business concerns me. I know it's going to make the conservatives want to scream, but... Halliburton! As for the business about chips? I'm not so worried, because I don't buy into the whole Armageddon/Mark of the Beast business (and don't plan to ever get chipped!). But I can see how it would worry those who do.
