If it was just a kiss, it's one thing. A kiss can't be taken back, and you have in a small way betrayed your relationship. However, it isn't going past that point of no return. A relationship can recover from this much easier than a sexual encounter.
One thing you certainly need to do is address your feelings for your friend. If they are strong enough that you are having to "control" them, then maybe the boyfriend is not the one for you. If that is the case, then you need to let him know that y'all have a problem now, instead of continuing your relationship under false assumptions. But, if you decide that while you do feel an attraction to the friend, those feelings are nothing in comparison to your boyfriend, then you need to put some space between you and the friend, out of respect for your boyfriend. You don't have to part ways, just take a step back, and not put yourself in a situation where the 2 of you are alone.
Another thing, if there were others present when you kissed your friend, it would be wise to spill the beans now and let boyfriend hear from the 2 of you instead of learning of it as gossip, and feeling that further humiliation.

You can't make it "better". Once trust has been broken in a relationship it can't be mended, even if he does forgive you. I'd say tell your boyfriend and end it with him it will save you's both the trouble. Obviously you can't care too much for your boyfriend if you felt the need to cheat or even like another guy for that matter. You sound like your young and don't need to be tied down anyway. I'd say end the 5 year thing and have fun while you still can cause if you really like your best friend but decide to stay with your boyfriend than you may regret it later. See what your options are virsus settling down.

If u want ur BF to have trust on YOU, u have to tell him the whole truth. And if he loves u enough, he will understand you. U didnt do anything wrong, if u dont have any feelings for ur bestfriend that is. If u have feelings for him, than thats another story. But yea, u should be fine. A good relationship is based on honesty, rememba that. U were drunk, he will understand you. Dont worry.

I know no one will agree with me but I look at this way if you are not MARRIED then it is not cheating. This how you find the rite one. All is fair in love and war.

Don't tell, and don't do it again. Ask your friend never to mention it again.
