Would Bush start a war or cause a bigger terrorist attack in the US, so he can stay in power after his term is legally up?

He can try, but even the repuglicans at least most of them will not allow that to happen. It would not surprise me if this evil and immoral man would not do that though, he is being hampered some by the democratic majority in congress now. That is our one salvation, thank God that the voters spoke loudly in the 2006 election.

According to the United States Contitution, a President may serve only two terms. President Bush is out in January '08 regardless of the situation in Iraq at that time, regardless of whatever conflict he begins with another country between now and then. The sitting President doesn't automatically remain in office during wartime, police action, etc.

At degree of the game i does not placed any issues previous Bush and Cheney. This previous week Bush has been appearing like baby about congress and they received't rubber stamp his time table. Now that Democrats administration congress its observed as assessments and stability George. understanding the Bush and the Republicans they'll comprise some sensible trick to reinforce terrorism element earlier the election and declare the election null and void. If a Democrat wins.

I do not think Bush started the conflict to stay in office. I do think it's about oil and having a jump off base in the Middle East.

Bush is not that smart, I have said it many times now Bush is seen as a fool around the world which also makes you look bad as well.

Have a look at this web site it might answer a few more questions

Regardless of what happens, come noon, Jan 20, 2009 Bush is out of office. There is no provision for the election not to take place. There is no provision for him to stay in office. If he tries, no one will pay him any attention and he will be quietly hauled out of the White House and taken to a nice padded cell somewhere.

how do you call someone immoral when you only see them on T.V. and also the max you can stay in office is 10 years, but its pretty much 2terms.. well unless like the president dies and vice president takes over for 2 years.. then he can run for 2 more elections... this is sad, a 10th grade student knows more than you older people do of whats going on in the world. and has more common sense(i don't mind the thumbs down if i get any, becuase you know its true)

The president can only serve two terms. It doesn't matter what is going on nationally or internationally. The U.S. has changed presidents during war before, so there is nothing unique in this instance to change that.

Your question makes no sense. A terrorist attack or another conflict would not determine if Bush stays in office or not. He is going to be President until his term of office expires.

Surely he can't stay in power once his term is up, no matter what he does. He barely got into power in the first place.

That said? It sure does sound like he's trying to scapegoat Iran, doesn't it? Second verse, same as the first.

ETA - I seem to remember that another president (FDR?) served an extra term, but I hope he was more popular at the time than is Bush... and he wasn't the one who started WW2.

That can't happen - that's why we have term limits! Bush is out in two years no matter what!

Well, this is me just guessing by his actions more than his words. I have no reason to believe that there is anything that isnt already in the realm of public knowledge. I have every reason to believe, regardless of how bad Iraq is right now, based on his actions, that he is doing what he can to avoid a large scale conflict with a superpower nation.
