treat him like any other guy, just because he has a badge doesn't make him above-the-law. If he doesn't stop, call a lawyer. and record your conversations too, and keep all text messages.

You talked to him on the phone 8 times and are surprised he is interested in you?
If you don't want to talk to him anymore, tell him that you'd rather he wouldn't call anymore.
If he keeps calling write a letter of complaint an address it to the chief of police.
By the way Tough Love, there is no way any police officer is going to lose his/her job for a single "ethics" violation, unless it is a chronic problem with the officer.

Tell him it was a mistake to give him your number in the first place. If he got it from you while he was in a position of superiority (ie. had your car stopped) while he was on duty, then he's in violation of a ton of ethics and harrassment laws. He KNOWS he will lose his job if you file a complaint with his department or the state.
Let him know that whatever he thought was going on, isn't, and that you were just being nice, but its time for him to lose your number because you're not interested. Don't be so naive.

First of all.. do you have a father? Ask him. If not ask yourself why you are giving your number to men you don't really know and get an older and wiser person with you when you tell this guy that you are not interested. Don't be afraid to ask an older person in your family to help you on this. Best to ask an older relative that has been married for a long time.

What were you thinking? When will women learn? At this point in the ballgame it's time for evasive action. Tell him "forget about it and if he calls you again you're going contact the authorities immediately." Then follow through if he keeps bothering you. From now on, quit giving out your phone number unless you're desperate.

I'm not sure what his being a police officer has to do with anything, you gave a guy your number and he called. Now you would like him to stop calling.....so tell him to stop, it's that simple. He is not above the law just because he has sworn to uphold and enforce it, if he's harassing you then file a report.
Oh and by the way...paramedics and firemen are dirty dawgs just like police officers....I know because I work at the fire department. Must be something with Emergency Services and their egos....

You are 22, not 14 for heaven's sake. He said he wants to kiss you and massage your back. It's not like he said he wants to tie you up in his basement! You should know how to handle a guy like this.
If not, here's a tip:
Either don't answer his phone calls or tell him to stop calling!

i don't know why you were shocked. he has talked to you 8 times and he asked for your number so he was obviously interested. thats usually why guys ask for girls numbers. if your not interested i would just be direct with him and tell him you like him as a friend but nothing more.

ok, we have all heard the saying, "I JUST LOVE A MAN IN UNIFORM!".........it's true, most times a uniform on a man really stirs something up in us women, however the man is still a man. if that man in a uniform is a dog he will be a dog always. if that man in a uniform is a gentleman, he will always be a gentleman. listen to your gut feelings. they are usually right. if you don't want to hear from this guy anymore, don't answer the phone, get your # changed, tell him to leave you alone (you misunderstood his intentions).

Cops are dawgs... stop taking his calls and drive VERY carefully in his town. He's probably just looking for a "beat wife." Why not date a nice fireman or a paramedic? Everybody loves a fireman.
